OneKey Product Packaging Instructions and Authenticity Verification Guide

Understand the differences in packaging across different batches and complete basic safety checks before opening the box

The packaging of OneKey products may vary depending on design, production batch, warehouse stock, and labeling scheme. Versions with plastic seals, without plastic seals, with airplane boxes, or without airplane boxes may all be in circulation simultaneously for a period of time.

Different appearances of packaging do not mean the product is not genuine. Please do not judge authenticity solely based on box color, product renderings, plastic seals, or the presence of EAL6+ stickers.

Before using this guide, please first understand

  • The images in this article are used to help identify the appearance of the packaging and do not represent strict production date boundaries.

  • Distributors and warehouses may hold stock of different batches at the same time.

  • EAL6+ identification stickers are used to display certification information and are not anti-counterfeiting stickers.

  • If the packaging seal is damaged, the device appears to have been initialized, or the source is unknown, please stop using it and contact OneKey support.

Please determine authenticity based on the verification process results in the OneKey App.

First, look at the outer packaging: Kraft paper airplane box

In addition to retail boxes printed with the product name and device image, OneKey currently also adds an outer layer of kraft paper shockproof box, usually called a 'plane box.' It is mainly used for transportation protection and warehouse identification, not as another product packaging.

The outer side of the airplane box may have a product code or EAN barcode label;

After opening, the retail packaging box for the OneKey Pro, Classic 1S, or Classic 1S Pure, as shown in this article, is inside.

Update Record

  1. Starting January 2026Switch to kraft paper airplane boxes. Add the EAN barcode label for the corresponding product, with a label size of 50 × 30 mm.

  2. After June 2026,Factory packaging will all include kraft paper airplane boxes; however, a small number of products stored earlier may not have the airplane box.

Two situations you may receive

  • Current packaging:The outermost layer is a kraft paper airplane box, which may have product information and EAN barcode labels on the outside. Inside is the product retail packaging box.

  • A small amount of old stock:May not have a kraft paper airplane box, and the product retail packaging box may be directly received under shrink wrap or other transportation protection.

Whether or not it comes with an airplane box cannot be used as the sole basis for verification. EAN tags are used for product identification and warehouse scanning, and are not anti-counterfeiting labels. Please continue to verify the purchase channel, retail packaging, and device initialization status.

OneKey Pro Packaging

Currently visible OneKey Pro packaging all use a black rectangular box, with the OneKey Pro name, device rendering image, and the words “Crypto Hardware Wallet” displayed on the front.

The most obvious difference between different batches is whether there is an independent EAL6+ label in the lower right corner.

  • Packaging without EAL6+ label

  • Packaging with EAL6+ label

Both of the above appearances may appear in normal circulation channels. The presence or absence of the EAL6+ label cannot be used as the sole basis for verification.

Classic and Classic 1S Packaging

The packaging shape of OneKey Classic and Classic 1S is similar, but the product name on the box surface is different. When verifying, first confirm whether the model on the box matches the order, then check if the packaging is complete.

OneKey Classic

OneKey Classic 1S

  • Packaging without EAL6+ label

  • Packaging with EAL6+ label

Both appearances may appear in normal circulation channels. The presence or absence of the EAL6+ label cannot be used as the sole verification criterion.

Packaging of Classic 1S Pure and BTC-Only versions

Classic 1S Pure

  • Packaging without EAL6+ label

  • Packaging with EAL6+ label

Classic 1S Pure BTC-Only version

  • Packaging without EAL6+ label

  • Packaging with EAL6+ label

Both appearances may appear in normal circulation channels. The presence or absence of the EAL6+ label cannot be used as the sole verification criterion.

About EAL6+ label

  • Some historical packaging features a separate EAL6+ label in the lower right corner of the front.

  • The subsequent packaging has adjusted the way authentication information is displayed, so the front of the packaging no longer displays the EAL6+ label.

  • The EAL6+ label is not a security label; the absence of a label does not mean the product is counterfeit.

  • Do not rely solely on the effect after tearing off the label as the only way to verify the authenticity of the product.

About the outer packaging plastic seal film

  • The packaging of OneKey Pro has always included a plastic seal film.

  • The Classic series temporarily removed the plastic seal film from September to November 2025.

  • Starting from December 2025, the Classic series reintroduced the plastic seal film.

  • All OneKey hardware wallets shipped currently come with a plastic seal film.

  • The plastic seal film is a packaging protection measure, not an anti-counterfeiting mark.

  • If the historical stock received does not have a plastic seal film, it does not necessarily mean the product is fake. Please consider the seal, purchase channel, and the device's first startup status comprehensively.

About the size change of the security label

  • The size of the OneKey security label was changed from 117 x 24 mm to 70 x 20 mm.

  • You may receive products with either the old or new anti-counterfeiting label; both label sizes may appear on genuine packaging.

  • Do not judge authenticity solely based on the size of the anti-counterfeiting label; consider the purchase channel, packaging integrity, and device initial startup conditions comprehensively.

After receiving the product, check according to the following steps

  1. Confirm the purchase channel:Preferably purchase through the OneKey official store or authorized channels.

  2. Check the outer packaging:Ensure the box has no obvious damage, re-sticking, or abnormal opening marks.

  3. The self-destruct label on the packaging should remain intact, with no signs of being pulled open and re-glued.

  4. The device has a holographic tamper-evident sticker. Confirm the sticker is complete and not peeled off. Peeling the holographic tamper-evident sticker will leave obvious marks.

  5. First startup:Complete initialization according to the official OneKey instructions. If the device already has a PIN, recovery phrase, or ready-made wallet, stop using it.

  6. If abnormalities are found:Keep photos of packaging, device, and order, and contact OneKey support for verification.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the packaging I received not exactly match the pictures in this article?

Packaging updates with each batch, and new and old packaging may circulate simultaneously. Slight differences in color, text, renderings, or labels usually do not indicate a product problem.

If there is no EAL6+ sticker, does it mean it is counterfeit?

No. The EAL6+ sticker is one of the ways to display certification information, not a security sticker. Please judge based on the purchase channel, packaging integrity, and device initialization status.

Can verification be completed solely by external packaging?

No. External packaging can only serve as auxiliary information. For devices with unknown origin, damaged packaging, or already initialized, please do not continue to use.

If still unable to confirm,

Please contact OneKey support and provide the purchase channel, order number, photos of the front and back of the packaging, seals or pull tabs close-up photos, device appearance photos, and the interface seen during the first startup.

Do not share your mnemonic, recovery phrase, or PIN with anyone.
