Press any key to enter the interface. Select [Create] to create a new wallet, follow the on-screen prompts to start creating a new wallet, click [Continue], and select the number of recovery phrases; here we will use 12 as an example.

Follow the prompts and copy the mnemonic words. The seed phrase is your only way to recover your wallet. Please keep it well and do not record it on any electronic device, nor spread it or record it on any network channel to ensure asset security. After copying is complete, follow the prompts to complete the mnemonic check.

Next, you need to set your own PIN code, which is similar to a bank card withdrawal code. Numbers 1-9, no 0. Note that if you only set 6 digits, you can select √ on the 7th digit.
Important: When you set the PIN code, you must remember it. You will need the PIN code to unlock the hardware wallet. Entering the wrong PIN code 10 times will cause the hardware wallet to reset.
After that, it indicates that the wallet has been created successfully, and it can be used by connecting OneKey desktop, OneKey browser connection, or OneKey App.

The recovery phrase is your only way to recover your wallet. Please keep it well. Do not record it on any electronic device, and do not spread or record it on any network channel to ensure the security of your assets.

Verify recovery phrase

After activation, we need to verify the recovery phrase to ensure that your recovery phrase is written correctly and can be used to restore your address. The steps are mainly as follows:

  1. Verify the address. Connect the activated Classic to Desktop, view and record the first address generated by default.

  2. Reset the device and import the recovery phrase. Reset the Classic to erase data, and the Classic will return to its inactive state; then you will be able to restore your wallet by importing the recovery phrase you just wrote.

  3. Verify and confirm the address. After successful restoration, connect the Classic to Desktop and check if the first address generated by default is the same as the one in step 1.

To do this, follow these steps:

Open the official OneKey website https://onekey.so/download , select the corresponding operating system version for your computer to download, and follow the prompts to install. (The following is a Win 10 example)

Use the data cable to connect the activated hardware wallet to the computer, select [Create Wallet] - [Hardware Wallet] on the desktop, enter the PIN code on the Classic, and complete the connection.
Note: Some MAC computer users may need to use a USB converter port for connection.

If the Desktop remains in the following state, please check your hardware wallet's connection to your computer. You can try unplugging the device or changing the USB cable/port. Sometimes the cable may show it is powered, but the transmission voltage is unstable and the device is still not recognized.

You can also open the Bridge status page: http://127.0.0.1:21320/status/ to see if this page is displayed correctly. If it doesn't open, download and install the Bridge at https://onekey.so/download?client=bridge.
