The Lightning Network is a Bitcoin scaling solution that enables fast, low-cost transactions by establishing a network of payment channels. Users can conduct multiple transactions within these channels without recording each transaction on the Bitcoin main chain, thus increasing efficiency and reducing fees.
The Lightning Network uses smart contracts and multi-signature technology to ensure that both parties receive the correct settlement of funds when the channel is closed. These technologies also prevent fraud and illegal operations, ensuring the security of user funds.
Create an account
- Open the OneKey App and select "Lightning Network."
- Click "Create address" (On the desktop version, it will be created automatically).
Receive assets
- Click "Receive".
- Enter the amount of sats you wish to receive.
- Click "Create invoice".
- Open the withdrawal/transfer interface on another platform, and withdraw the crypto assets to the generated invoice number in the address/invoice field.
- Once the assets are received, you will be able to see them on the dashboard of your OneKey App.
Note: sat is the smallest unit of $BTC, with 1 $BTC = 100,000,000 sats.
Transfer assets
- Click "Send".
- Enter the invoice number (the recipient address).
- Click the "Preview" button to view the transaction details.
- Verify the recipient address and amount, then click "Confirm" to proceed.
Besides the invoice number, the OneKey App also supports entering "LNURL" in the recipient address field.
