Instructions for using the PIN Code on OneKey Classic series hardware wallets

This article provides a tutorial for users on how to set up a PIN code for OneKey Classic series hardware wallets (including Classic & Classic 1S) and use it in conjunction with the OneKey App.

The PIN code is a combination of numbers set during the initialization process of the OneKey hardware wallet device. Learn more 👉 PIN protection for OneKey

Setting the PIN Code

When we activate and set up the hardware wallet for the first time, we need to set a PIN code ourselves, as shown in the interface below:

The digits are from 1 to 9, with no 0. Note: If you only set a 4-digit code, you can choose ☑️ in the 5th position.

Important

Make sure to remember the PIN code that you set. You need to enter the PIN code each time you unlock the hardware wallet. Entering the wrong code 10 times will reset the hardware wallet to factory settings, and all stored data will be erased.

Using the PIN Code with OneKey App

When you connect the OneKey Classic series hardware wallet to the OneKey App desktop/mobile client, the hardware wallet screen will display the positions corresponding to the nine-grid numbers on the OneKey App.

Suppose you set your PIN code to 1258. Then, find the corresponding positions according to the diagram and enter 1258 in sequence.
