Viewing Positions and Closing Positions

Updated today

This article introduces how to quickly view current open position information and how to use Market/Limit orders to close positions.

I. Accessing the Positions List

  1. Open the OneKey App and navigate to the Perps (Futures) page.

  2. Find the Positions tab at the bottom of the page.

II. Viewing Position Information

In the Positions list, each row represents one position. Common field meanings are as follows:

  • Asset: The asset held in the position (e.g., ETH).

  • Position Size: The quantity of the position (e.g., 0.0263 ETH).

  • Entry Price: The average entry price of the position (e.g., 1867).

  • Mark Price: The mark price (used for calculating PnL and liquidation).

  • Liq. Price: The estimated liquidation price.

  • PnL (ROE%): Floating Profit & Loss and Return on Equity percentage.

  • Margin: The margin currently being utilized by the position.

  • Funding: Data related to funding rate (if applicable).

  • TP/SL: Take Profit/Stop Loss status (tap the icon to access settings/modification).

III. Market Close (Closing by Market Order)

  1. In the Positions list, find the row corresponding to the position you wish to close.

  2. Click Market on the far right of that row.

  3. Confirm the closing quantity in the pop-up window (it usually defaults to closing the entire position, but partial closing is available).

  4. After confirming, the position will be closed at the current market price.

Tip: Market closing is fast, but may result in slippage during high volatility.

IV. Limit Close (Closing by Limit Order)

  1. In the Positions list, find the row corresponding to the position you wish to close.

  2. Click Limit on the far right of that row.

  3. Set the desired closing price and quantity for execution.

  4. After confirming submission, a pending order will be placed; the position size will decrease or be zeroed out upon execution.

Tip: Limit closing allows you to control the execution price, but may result in the order not being filled or taking a long time to fill.

V. Close All Positions (Close all)

If you have multiple positions and wish to close them all quickly:

  1. On the right side of the Positions list, click Close all.

  2. Select the closing method: Market Close All or Limit Close All at Mid.

  3. Click Confirm Order to submit.

  4. After execution, all positions will be closed, and associated TP/SL orders will be automatically canceled.

Tip: Market execution is faster but may involve slippage; Limit execution controls the price but may not fill immediately.

VI. How to Confirm Successful Closing

  • Return to Positions: If the position row disappears or the quantity becomes 0, the closing is complete.

  • Check Trades history: Confirm the closing execution price and quantity.

  • Check Account history: Confirm changes such as margin returned, funding rate settlements, and PnL settlement.
