USB Lock Function Description

Updated over a week ago

The USB Lock is a security option in OneKey hardware wallets. By enabling or disabling this feature, you can decide whether the device should automatically lock when plugged in or unplugged.

Function

  • USB Lock Off:

When the hardware wallet is connected to a computer, the device will not automatically lock after being unplugged and re-plugged.

  • USB Lock On:

Every time the hardware wallet is unplugged and reconnected, the device will automatically enter the lock screen state. In this case, you will need to manually enter your PIN code to unlock and use it again.

This feature allows users to balance security and convenience, depending on their daily usage habits.

Location on Different Devices

  • OneKey Pro: Settings → Security → USB Lock

  • OneKey Classic 1S: General → USB Lock

Usage Recommendations

  • If you often use the wallet on a private and secure computer, you may choose to disable USB Lock to reduce frequent PIN code entry.

  • If you use the wallet in a public or less trusted environment, it is recommended to enable USB Lock to prevent unauthorized access when you step away.
