Mac ဖြင့် OneKey App 嘅 Touch ID 使用安全性

Dikemas kini hari ini

Enabling Touch ID on the Mac version of the OneKey App desktop client allows you to unlock the OneKey App using your fingerprint. This convenient unlocking method can be helpful in many different situations when using the OneKey App desktop client.

Your fingerprint is not stored in the OneKey App

The OneKey App desktop client does not scan or store your fingerprint. Touch ID is provided by iOS; it only informs the desktop client whether your fingerprint has been recognized. Learn more about the advanced security technology of Touch ID.

Your OneKey App account password still protects your data

Using Touch ID in the OneKey App does not replace your account password. You can disable fingerprint recognition at any time, ensuring that your account password is required to access the client.

Hardware wallet accounts still require connecting the hardware wallet for interaction

Hardware wallet addresses used in the OneKey App are generated by unlocking and directly connecting the hardware wallet. The hardware wallet's mnemonic phrase is stored in a Secure Element chip, which interacts with the outside world using public keys. The Secure Element is tamper-proof, and the mnemonic phrase is never exposed online. When interacting with a hardware wallet address, your computer still needs to be connected to the hardware wallet, and you must perform a physical confirmation on the device to complete the transaction. Enabling Touch ID does not affect the security of your hardware wallet.

Precautions when using Touch ID

The benefits of using Touch ID far outweigh the risks. Please follow these tips to use Touch ID safely:

  • Memorize your account password. If you use Touch ID frequently, you might forget your account password more easily due to infrequent usage.

  • Do not share your Mac device password. If you enable Touch ID on the Mac version of the desktop client, be sure to protect your Mac device password. Anyone who knows this password can register new fingerprints, and any registered fingerprints on the device can be used to unlock the OneKey App.

  • If you are concerned about someone attempting to use your fingerprint without your consent, disable Touch ID.
