Get started with OneKey Mini

This guide will walk you through the process of setting up your OneKey Mini hardware wallet, empowering you with the capability to manage your crypto assets securely.

To ensure the performance of the OneKey Mini hardware wallet devices, new feature updates (such as support for new chains and tokens) will be supported until June 2025. Rest assured, the OneKey team will continue to provide security patch maintenance for OneKey Mini.

Please note: Before diving into the setup process, it's crucial to conduct a quick check of the packaging and holographic seal to ensure the integrity of your device. If you detect any signs of tampering, refrain from using the device immediately. Contact OneKey Customer Support to request assistance, and we will do our best to arrange a replacement for you.

What you'll need

  • OneKey Mini
  • OneKey App Desktop downloaded and installed
  • Recovery sheet supplied in the box

Process

Step 1: Power on and Select Language
  • Connet your OneKey Mini to the computer with a USB cable supplied in the box.
  • Choose your preferred system language by following on-screen instructions.
  • Press the right arrow key to confirm and proceed.

Please note: The OneKey Mini device does not have the battery and bluetooth, so it requires external power to power on and does not support connection to the mobile phone.

Step 2: Create a New Wallet
  • Press the down key to enter "Dashboard".
  • Select "Create New Wallet" to start initializing a new wallet.
  • Select the number of recovery phrase word (e.g., 12).

  • Use the blank recovery sheet to write down your 12 seed phrases as instructed on the screen.
  • Write down the "Recovery Phrase #1". Verify that you have copied it correctly in position #1.
  • Repeat the process and verify each word's correctness in its designated position.

Security Tips

  • The seed phrases are the only way for you to recover your assets.
  • Never make a digital copy of your seed and never upload it online.
  • Please keep it safe.
Step 3: Validate Recovery Phrase
  • Validate your written recovery phrases by selecting the correct word when prompted on the device screen.
  • Repeat the process until "Recovery Phrase verified" is displayed.

Step 4: Set a PIN Code
  • Choose your PIN code (1 to 9 without 0).
  • If you set only 6 digits, select ☑️ in the 7th digit.
  • Enter the PIN code again to confirm it.

Security Tips

  • The PIN code is used to unlock your device.
  • Ten incorrect PIN entries will reset the hardware wallet.
  • Avoid using any devices with pre-set PIN codes or recovery phrases.
  • Contact OneKey Customer Support in case of doubt.
Step 5: Connect to the OneKey App
  • Download and install the OneKey App desktop application corresponding to your operating system (macOS, Windows, Linux).
  • Connect your OneKey Mini to the computer using a USB cable.
  • Start the OneKey App desktop application and click "Create wallet."

  • Select "Connect hardware wallet."

  • Click on the device name (For example, OneKey Mini) to proceed.

  • Enter the PIN code on your OneKey Mini device.

  • Confirm on your OneKey Mini device to verify its authenticity.
  • Click "Continue" when "Verification successful" is displayed.

  • The OneKey App is generating the wallet accounts for your OneKey Mini device.
  • Wait until the process is finished, and you will see the wallet is ready to use.

Step 6: Check Wallet Address
  • Click "Receive" - "Verify on device" in the OneKey desktop application.

  • Compare the address shown on the OneKey App with the address on the OneKey Mini device.
  • Confirm on the device if the two addresses match.
  • You will be able to see the full address and the corresponding QR code on the OneKey App.

  • Congratulations! Your OneKey Mini wallet is ready to use.
