This guide will walk you through the process of setting up your OneKey Classic hardware wallet, empowering you with the capability to manage your crypto assets securely.
To ensure the performance of the OneKey Classic hardware wallet devices, new feature updates (such as support for new chains and tokens) will be supported until June 2025. Rest assured, the OneKey team will continue to provide security patch maintenance for OneKey Classic.
Please note: Before diving into the setup process, it's crucial to conduct a quick check of the packaging and holographic seal to ensure the integrity of your device. If you detect any signs of tampering, refrain from using the device immediately. Contact OneKey Customer Support to request assistance, and we will do our best to arrange a replacement for you.
What you'll need

- OneKey App downloaded and installed
- Recovery sheet supplied in the box
Process
Please refer to the activation guide corresponding to the type of OneKey App client you downloaded (e.g., desktop client, browser extension, or mobile app). Currently, the OneKey App desktop client and browser extension only support connecting to your hardware wallet via USB cable. The mobile app only supports connecting via Bluetooth.
- Press the power button to turn on your OneKey Classic.
- Choose your preferred system language by following on-screen instructions.
- Press the right button to proceed.
- Select "Create New Wallet" to start initializing a new wallet.
- Select the number of the recovery phrase words (e.g., 12).
- Use the blank recovery sheet to write down your 12 recovery phrase words as instructed on the screen.
- Write down the "Recovery Phrase #1". Verify that you have copied it correctly in position #1.
- Repeat the process and verify each word's correctness in its designated position.
Security Tips
- The seed phrases are the only way for you to recover your assets.
- Never make a digital copy of your seed and never upload it online.
- Please keep it safe.
- When "Check Words Again" is displayed, check and compare the shown recovery phrase words with ones you have written down on your recovery sheet.
- Check and validate your written recovery phrase words one by one by selecting the correct word when prompted on the device screen.
- Repeat the process until "Awesome! Your backup is complete." is displayed.
- Set a 4 to 9 digits PIN code to protect your device.
- Choose your PIN code (1 to 9 without 0).
- If you set only 6 digits, select ☑️ in the 7th digit.
- Enter the PIN code again to confirm it.
- When "Wallet is ready! Download ...." is displayed on the screen, your hardware wallet setup is complete. Please continue to read the on-screen instructions and proceed to the next step (Step 5).

- Ten incorrect PIN entries will reset the hardware wallet.
- Avoid using any devices with pre-set PIN codes or recovery phrases.
- Contact OneKey Customer Support in case of doubt.
- Download and install the OneKey App application.
- Connect your OneKey Classic to the computer using a USB cable.
- When using the OneKey App browser extension, you will be prompted to download and install OneKey Bridge. (Note: If you are using the OneKey App desktop version, downloading and installing OneKey Bridge is not required.)
- Start the OneKey App desktop application and click "Create wallet."
- Select "Connect hardware wallet."
- Click on the device name (For example, K1551) to proceed.
- Enter the PIN code on your OneKey Classic device. (How to enter the PIN? Refer here.)
- Confirm on your OneKey Classic device to verify its authenticity.
- Click "Continue" when "Verification successful" is displayed.
- The OneKey App is generating the wallet accounts for your OneKey Classic device.
- Wait until the process is finished, and you will see the wallet is ready to use.
- Click "Receive" - "Verify on device" in the OneKey App desktop application.
- Compare the address shown on the OneKey App with the address on the OneKey Pro device.
- Confirm on the device if the two addresses match.
- You will be able to see the full address and the corresponding QR code on the OneKey App.
- Congratulations! Your OneKey Classic wallet is ready to use.
- Press the power button to turn on your OneKey Classic.

- Ensure that the bluetooh of your phone has been turned on.
- Keep your OneKey Classic hardware wallet device close to your phone. Select "Connect hardware wallet."
- Select "Connect hardware wallet." Press the "Start connection" button.
- Tap on the device name (For example, K1010) to proceed.
- Enter the pair code shown on your OneKey Pro hardware wallet in the OneKey App to pair your devices.
- Confirm on your OneKey Classic device to verify the device authenticity.
- Click "Continue" when "Verification successful" is displayed.
- The OneKey App is generating the wallet accounts for your OneKey Pro device.
- Wait until the process is finished, and you will see the wallet is ready to use.
- Click "Receive" in the OneKey App mobile application.
- Select the coin that you wish to check the receiving address. (For example, Bitocin)
- Select the address type. (Please note that coins may not always have different address types.)
- Select "Verify on device."
- Compare the address shown on the OneKey App with the address on the OneKey Classic device.
- Confirm on the device if the two addresses match.
- You will be able to see the full address and the corresponding QR code on the OneKey App.
- Congratulations! Your OneKey Classic wallet is ready to use.
