The OneKey App (desktop/extension/mobile app) provides an anti-counterfeiting verification feature (not firmware verification) to ensure that the hardware wallet device is an original product, thereby confirming its authenticity.
This tutorial is only responsible for verifying whether the device is officially manufactured by OneKey, not for verifying the authenticity of the device firmware. However, don't worry, OneKey devices have a built-in method to determine firmware authenticity. If unofficially signed firmware is installed, a 'Unofficial Firmware' warning will appear at startup.
Verification Process
- Click on the account name -> Select the hardware wallet to verify -> Click "Edit" -> Choose "Device authentication."
- On your hardware wallet, click "Confirm," and then the OneKey App will verify your device's serial number (this process does not interact with the secure chip, so your recovery phrase is safe). If "Verification successful" appears on the screen, it means your device is an authentic product manufactured by OneKey.
